Dear Pastors, Tell Us the Truth
A letter on Rachel Held Evans blog about pastors being open with the truth so they can be served and to encourage honesty and grace in the church. I imagine pastors would love this letter, but, sadly, I'm not sure it comes from the whole church.

Where Have All the Good Men Gone?
I think it might have been Rick McKinley's twitter stream that highlighted this interesting article to me. From a psychological standpoint this lengthening adolesence is interesting and will have interesting implications on certain problems. For example, anti-social behaviour is seen by some as caused by a gap between what is physically possible but socially not - the tension, the maturity gap, causes adolescents to act in ways they can to assert their independence. Of course, when they become able to be in relationships, control of their own lives (through moving out, getting a job etc) this gap disappears and the ASB largely tails off by 25 or so for most.

The Kimyal People in Indonesia Receive the Bible
A video showing the Kimyal people receiving the New Testament in their own language. The guy who stands crying in the background as the pastor prays challenges me! Do I prize the Word of God in this way?

And two links from Paul to finish off:
An article on prayer from Francis Chan
The difference between disciple making and consumerism

About Me

My Photo
I'm a Northern Irish girl in the fourth and final year of studying psychology in Cardiff (Wales) who has had many adventures in the Czech Republic and I'm excited about where God seems to be leading! The main thing about me is that I love and follow Jesus and I'm on the long road of learning how that should affect all the other things. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. There are much more exciting places to be but you're welcome to stick around.
